The gun has been completely dismantled other than the safety and the rear sight. I found lots of cosmoline and a little bit of rust. It was pretty obvious that it hadn't been serviced or cleaned for a long, long time. I ended up breaking my firing pin removal tool because there was such much solidified crud in the bolt. It is soaking now and a new tool is on the way. The wood has been stripped and the second coat of RLO is soaking in. All of the metal has been cleaned after an oil bath and is now soaking in CLP. The barrel has good rifling but some frosting and pitting. Overall, it was in better shape than I anticipated. I hope to have it all back together sometime next week and will post some pictures.
