Scabbard is 1911 marked to RIA as well, nice set. To me, the grip scales look repro but probably just the picture. Anyway, nice catch. The only RIA I was ever able to find here was a 1905E5 cut down but it still had the walnut scales. It also had the shortened M3 scabbard. I had a couple of the Springfield blades, one was 1919 and as new but all are long gone now.
    Regards, Jim

And, finding a set of original walnut scales will be hard but can be done if you watch closely. The attaching hardware, the locking catch is hard done too, could use an upgrade...but not necessary.

original grips will cost me at least 9 times more then i paid for bayonet + scabbard at local estate sale - i have several other SA 1905's that are original - i also have a SA 1903 that was manufactured in 1906 like the bayonet -

Love to see a line up of those blades...I have always had a soft spot for the 1905 blade among others, probably because we didn't see so many up here.

Here is a decent Springfield M1905 with RIA scabbard to entertain meanwhile.
