If only I had > $4000.00 for the Mosin Nagants

In one of my searches on PROXBID looking for Rifle Parts, I ran up on an auction for a Crate of Mosin Nagant 91/30 - ALL hex receivers.

Just having a crate of Mosins Nagants sitting in my collection would be awesome. I could never break them up..

pick the best couple (and the crate!) for yourself, sell the rest...lower bound going rate is ~$400 each...that comes out to...well...people paying you handsomely for the couple pristine mosins you now have. will see what they sell for. over a month left.

It would be perfect if it weren't for the import markings. A crateful of hex receiver mosins is definitely something you don't see everyday. In today's climate in my area, you could get $500 easy for a hex receiver nagant

I'd be satisfied just with a few good sniffs of that open chest. Like a fine wine and matured over time I bet all that mature oil and cosmolineicon smell divine.

Wouldn't it be so cool to put a glass top on the crate full of Mosins as a Coffee table in the man cave...

A lot of people spend more than 4k for a hand crafted coffee table.

I don't understood the demand for 'hex' receivers. The more I Mosin collecting I did the more I realized it literally means nothing except it was made before ~1936.

But that's one of the reasons, older Mosins Nagants were fewer in quantity and as a collector is more desirable, well at least to me. They also look much sexier - LOL
