Heads up on a Korean Bayonet

Sarco got a couple dozen M16icon South Korean bayonets in. I've never seen them before and they claim its the first time they've been on the market.

Would be good for a novelty, the grip scales remind me of the "Stoner" bayonets from days gone by.

Bayonet came in a sealed plastic bag today. Now I'm not sure what to do with it. I like getting my hands on things but original wrapping still sealed etc, etc. Now if Sarco did this, which I doubt because nothing else I've gotten from them came in a sealed plastic bag it would be one thing. No numbers or writing on it. Everything brand new inside. At least it's clear.

It's still in the bag. I guess it will stay there for a while. I received some interesting advice, keep it in the bag unless it is my second one, then take it out. Reasonable. I had another fellow tell me that these are everywhere for $10 in C grade so I should just buy one of those. I asked him where and of course there was no response. I can't think of a single bayonet of any type that is currently selling for $10 in any grade let alone one that isn't being sold outside of this one supplier which has a very small quantity of them.

Sarco also has Korean cut down Garandicon bayonets with the shortened scabbards also very reasonably. Now these can be found from numerous sources included eBay and Sarco's price for the set is lower than what they are selling the bayonet alone for on there.

Hey Jim. I am assuming (terrible word) by your statement that you have never seen the Korean M1icon cut down. Here is a picture of one and a picture showing all three M1 bayonets. The Koreans did adopt the M5 but I guess cutting down was cheaper and faster initially. "Bayonet Points" has an article discussing this bayonet.

Mine finally showed. They seem to be well made with a redesigned scabbard with a polymer throat vs the M7 scabbard. Partial double edge and sharp no markings other than a T.Y on the scabbard throat.
