A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. The Juniors I work with are somewhat puzzled by the "chicken wing". They don't know what their missing not shooting wood guns.

Yes, my son laughed at my "chicken wing". I then let him shoot my M17 unsupported and he found out real quick that his arm tuck method is highly uncomfortable and inaccurate. Good for a light M16icon type but not a wood rifle He also wore "hush puppies" when he was in.

Best way to lock that elbow in place is to hold the rifle into your shoulder with the left hand, extend the right arm straight back shoulder high and palm up. Then rotate it over your head and grasp the pistol grip. It locks the bones in place, makes it easy to maintain... and makes a big difference in results.

Do you shoot at Polk County Gun Club?
If so that's about 20 miles from me an easy drive
If I have the time I would love to come up and shoot
I'm just a lousy shot cause I haven't the time to shoot the past couple years
