Is there anything wrong with your gas system Ed? Does it work OK? If so then why mess with it?
    Regards, Jim

    Hello Jim
There's nothing wrong with the gas system, I read that is ok only to shoot 3006 150 gr, to shoot other gr is necessary to upgrade de gas system.
    Regards

There's this huge following of adjustable gas cylinder lock screws...and I used one myself for a time. They can be a pain when you go shooting as they take fiddling to adjust. Even same lot ammo can have variations and you can be shooting fine and then failures to eject start. Yes, they reduce gas to the affected parts so you stress them less but it's not designed that way. Before the advent of the internet we shot whatever came to hand with impunity and I didn't even ONCE hear of an issue. Now the internet is full of STORIES of kabooms. I say stories. Not first hand experience of having a rifle go to bits in your hands from firing factory ammo in current condition and a rifle in good repair. I wouldn't use hi pressure ammo like the light magnum ammo available as I don't know what it is. I've seen factory ammo used for years here still by guys that don't reload and there were no problems. If you reload, all bets are off. That's not what we're talking about right now...
    Regards, Jim

    Hello Jim,

You´re so right, this badass rifle was conceived for war, so if you do the proper maintenance and of course following all the book recommendations it won't be any problem.

I think he means new gas cylinder and lock, screw... Sometimes they test at a large bore in the gas cylinder so they have issues.
