    Talking Need Help in Identifying My Lee Enfield No. 4 Mark 2

    Markings on metal:
    Front Receiver Ring--left side--Crown/BNP--Top--Crown/P5
    Receiver--left side--No 4 Mk2 (F); 10/49 [PF] 142184; Top under sights--Crown/M(?)/10
    Receiver--Rear Ring-- B.T.G.-- (left pointing arrow) D (?))/113
    Bolt-- Knob--Crown/BNP--(PF) 142184
    Knob shank--F/49
    Near Ejector-- Crown/BNP
    On Bolt--53--60 or 66--FN--T
    Rear--F-49
    Front Sight Protector--Mark 1
    Foresight Blade--F.06
    Rear Sight--Mark 1
    Middle Stock Band--S76
    Bottom of Magazine Housing--PF 229933

    Furniture Markings:
    Front Hand guard--Crown/N -- F/49--142184--PF- 3/37
    Forestock-- Crown/N/4
    Buttstock--
    Bottom Wrist/Finger Grip-f/49-15-Crown/N/12-TH---Star with an N or M inside--HC or CH
    Lower Handguard--PF 142184--0/49

    I am aware that the First Mark 2 was manufactured 5/1949 with a serial number of PF 100412

    While I have a lot of information I don't know what it means when it's all pulled together. What do I have?

    Largely matching, except the magazine - odd. Very nice rifles, normally great shooters.
