    Does anyone know?

Who manufactured this M1icon/14 NM windage knob marked MKB?

To my knowledge, no one has ever found out for sure who MKB is. The only guess I could find that has been put forth is MKB machine shop in Connecticut from the '80s.

    MKB

Sounds reasonable. I do know that SA gave out small local contracts sometimes when a part was badly needed and time was short. IIRC, this did happen with sight knobs once late in M1icon production. Another example is the welded seam op rod used in the very first rifle assemblies... the welding was contracted out to a small welding shop in West Springfield.
