Martini Authenticity

Would someone care to help me with determination regarding authenticity of this rifle type based on the supplied image(s).
Evidently chambering is .303
I looked through a bunch of old threads in an attempt to make a good buy but cannot positively be sure that its not a copy of some sort.
The markings on the sidewall seem a little off to me, but experience is not in my wheelhouse or favor with this particular type.
Apologize for poor quality photo's.

The Martini Enfield Mk II Artillery Carbine was a conversion from a Martini Henry Carbine and as such had its converted markings on the left hand side of the action. The markings are also very different to mine. Photo attached.

What do you think about the two marks on the vertical edge of the receiver front? I cant quite make out what they are. There are two more on the other side, same location.
I'm stuck on the "D" out in right field and the horizontal portion of the L not being evident.
Maybe I should just stay away from it altogether after making a comparison to the image you supplied. The crown doesn't quite look right to me either at this point.

Brian, The stamps on the right front of the receiver appear to be inspection markings. However, I note that none of my 17 Enfield- manufactured Martini Henrys or their Rifle/Carbine derivatives have anything similarly located.

To be owned as a shooter, and following a professional examination this carbine may be OK. As a collector's piece intended to represent the Mk II Martini Enfield Artillery Carbine, I wouldn't touch it with an extended barge-pole! Terry

The double "EFD inspection marks" in that location scream native copy to me.

If one bogus mark is good, two are so much better!
