    WTK: Info on this Stock

I posted this in the M1icon/M2 Room. Sorry about that.

I took these pictures real quick with my camera at an Estate Sale this morning. I did end up buying this M1icon Garand Stock.

I will get better pictures tomorrow.

It does have SA in a box on the left side. Any ideas if Sa made this stock and if it is a WWII stock? I know it was takken off of a WWII M1 Garand.

A few more additional photos would help quite alot on this stock. Take a photo of the clip
latch cut on the left inside of stock, trigger recess cut on the bottom and a good photo of the
inside barrel channel (showing any numbers if they are there)

Stock went though rebuild and second proof firing by the photos available

Thank You for your input and help.

I do not see any numbers in the barrel channel. I will have a pair of younger eyes look at it.

My opinion concerning your M1icon Rifle stock is that it is a late WW2 stock that went through rebuild at least
one time which is indicated by the second proof firing stamp and the SA rebuild stamp. your stock could
have been a late SA McF or most likely a SA GAW cartouched stock.

I should also add those butt stock stamps under the butt plate started to appear on later WW2 stocks
