13 Dec 2021 Garand Picture of the Day

A sniper from the 1st Cavalry Division is shown in March 1951 with an M1D Garandicon, complete with an M81 or M82 riflescope in a Griffin & Howe mount.

    Good Day,
The pictured rifle is a M1icon-C, not a M-1D. The rings of the G&H mount can be seen. What I can't tell is the if the windage knob is a lock-bar or T105 style. There looks to be a shadow of a lock-bar but it not distinctive enough.
    Regards,
    Michael
