Another possible USN Model 1903 ?

My friend found this M1903 at a gun show in GA around 2007 and called me as the stock was marked TENN and the rifle was cheap. I told him to buy it for me. It was from the CMPicon and still had the same stock when it was sold.

No luck checking the serial numbers but it is among US Naval Model 1903 rifles assigned to ships during WW1. The barrel is dated SA 3-18 with a nice bore, receiver has the Hatcher hole and stock cartouched W.E.S. and BA JS

    Very nice.

Might seem strange but first thing I thought when I looked at your pictures was "I bet that rifle smells old."

And that IMO is a good thing.
