    They are sorta a bit whimsical on their pricing Jim sometimes they'll go for say $4/USD ea others I have go above $20/USD.

    Hi Daan Charger/Stripper sorta like apples and apples,.
    I've always called them Charger clips to go in the Charger Bridge, allot of sellers over here on the web use both both nomenclatures to describe them.

    Remember clearly some years ago of someone being rapped over the typing knuckles for using clip instead of charger for the LE.

    Charge the magazine with a clip of cartridges? = charger?

    Charger = destrier = warhorse

    Daan,

    Here's an interesting article that Peter Laidlericon shared some time ago on the LE Knowledge Forum:

    Its a copy from a document produced by the Britishicon Army (REME Corps, actually) that deals specifically with matters pertinent to Armourers.

    In this official copy of another Army Council Instruction, which is the formal body telling the Army "how it is to conduct its business."

    So, the use of "charger' while seemingly esoteric, is correct.

    Trying to save Service history, one rifle at a time...

    I remember now that in the Aus cadets we were instructed to call them charger clips, I'll dig out my cadet PAM's of the day and see what they say I have some WWII PAMS and see if I have any on the rifle drill.

    I'm not trying to start an argument or such but just going on what we were taught at the time when I was in the cadets from '70 ~ '73 with the No.1 MkIII's.

    See Pics #1 & # 2

    Post script ~ I searched through a couple of my PAMS and found this one "Range Courses" from 1949 at the back they had a section for "Individual Battle Practice".

    You will note that in the part marked DETAILS section line 2 that it clearly states that " the charger shall be securely buttoned in pouch ." (Gather it would be Pat 37 gear.)

    Like I said not arguing, just stating how we here in Australiaicon were taught in using the rifle 303 No.1 MkIII.
    However the other dominions trained their units with nomenclature is entirely up to their armed services.

    Thx 22SqnRAE for the information seems the Brits had the same name for them.
