The current state of Japanese bayonets

I watch eBay constantly but generally only scanning for things I'm after which have not been Japaneseicon bayonets recently. But they occasionally catch my attention anyway. Last night was one such example and not even sure why I looked at it. It was priced at $201.50 which in itself would indicate it's a bayonet of some interest. This was not the asking price but actual bid. So I look and it's a Kokura, the most common manufacturer out there and it's in lousy shape. The handle looks like is soaked in water for a long time, the blade is clean but looks cleaned. So I start looking at others. Apparently, the price has gone up on these considerably, at least the asking price but the actual sale prices are up also. Less than six months ago, I was getting the Mukden and Jinson bayonets for $150 and Kokuras were less than $100. Not sure what is going on but it seems interesting.

I found a Kokura for 75$ at a recent show and consider myself lucky.

Seems 100$ is the minimum for many bayonets except the most plentiful such as ak, Czechicon, Spanish and Turkishicon. Even the Greek issue garand bayos are getting high from everywhere except the one supplier on eBay.

Local gunshow had garand sheaths for 50$ each and I may put a few aside as a precaution.
