I spent time over the winter and itemized all the new and loaded rds I have (all calibers), empty brass, bullet tips (including weights/profiles), Powder amounts/types and all the different primers I have on hand. Just subtract from as I load

I did that because I have so much actual stock here and have to keep track for reloading info. Otherwise how do I figure out what powder I have/can use? I too subtract when I remember to do it.

I seen Mid South Shooters Supply had a sale the other day on Bulk .223 55Gr FMJBT. It was a good price, I was ready to order. Then looked at my list and seen I have more than I'd need for a number of years. Can't remember each and everything off the top of my head. List is really helping by not buying what I don't need and using those funds for something I may need.

When I first bought my AR around 1985, I looked for reloading components and Winchester had bulk 55 gr FMJBT. These were bullets made during the first few minutes that the machines fired up apparently they expected some deformed or unsatisfactory bullets. Anyway, 5,000 for $120. I've used hundreds of these and only found two deformed throwaways. I also did well on a 30 cal FMJBT 150 gr that came out of Yugo. They were mailing these things via USPS priority envelopes, Two really heavy bags of these things about 2K for about $150. Great plinking bullets. Powder will never come down in price but Bullseye still loads 1000 shots to a pound .45 ACP. I'm using Red Dot that is 30 years old and it still works fine. I don't see why people don't buy this stuff when it is in bulk. Read the other day that there are only 4 million reloaders in the US.

I've got most of my reloading supplies in one place, but not all of it. I try to keep track of it on the computer, but also have "sticky notes" attached to boxes and bags as reminders. I print out pages like the one attached and hole punch them for use in a folder. Dave, 1000 45's per pound of Bullseye sounds like a "darn heavy" load, or maybe that's just a ballpark estimate? - Bob

Wow!! I never really checked the numbers, 7000 gr to a lb. it's almost 1750 shots per pound. Let's see...8 grains would blow up my nice F.Bob Chow hardball gun. Thanks Bob

I went to the OGCA show this weekend and found a new still sealed 8 pound keg of Unique powder. The guy only wanted $180 for it which is a great deal in today's market. $22.50/pound! I'm having a slight problem typing this. I wrenched my shoulder getting my wallet out! *LOL*

Yup, great deal. I have scads of some of those pistol powders because I did exactly that years ago and bought when I found them. Now I have dozens of pounds that didn't break the bank.

Gas out here is $6 a gallon for regular. So people will start reloading pretty soon.

Interesting Dave, that's exactly the same price here even after conversion to CDN. That's the first time US and CDN prices were ever the same.
