    Quality Hardware carbine
    Serial 1628184
Receiver , detachable tube, marked Q
    Barrel underwood 8-43
    Front sight J-Q
Rear sight flip, left side has S right side no markings
Stock high wood, Q-RMC in sling well small cross cannon stock has rebuilt AAX, pistol grip has a P
    Hand guard 2 rivet Q-RMC
    Slide DA-Q
    Recoil plate RO-Q
    Bolt flat blue NPM 11
    Firing pin NN
    Trigger LT-Q
Trigger hous, Q-NL with only dogleg hammer marks on housing
    Sear GE-O no hole
    Safety unmarked
Hammer type2 I believe LTQ dogleg
    Mag catch EP-Q
Question could this carbine have come with the unmarked flip sight and the NPM bolt?
Carbine has the look of have been together a long time, I know it has rebuilt stamps I believe the front sight and the rear sight have never been off ,maybe stock was replaced at some time, I am no carbine expert by no means, but it seems if it went thru a rebuilt it would have had rear sights ,safety ,cut down stock ,barrel band, etc, all parts upgraded?
I am not changing a thing on it , just wanted to get some good or bad info on it, also no import markings, thanks in advance.
    John

Quality Hardware received bolts (500 of them) from National Postal Meter in September 1943. This fits prettty close to your serial number.

Nice looking rifle, I agree with your inclination to not change a thing.

Really nice carbine. I've never held a Quality hardware in my hands. They were one of the most interesting brands of the lot. One part was all they made. I've always wondered how they could make thousands of spring tube guns and have them not crack and break? It was probably a simple machining change. If it were not for that goober punch mark in front of the sight, it could be original to the carbine? I would never change anything on this gun.
