    On their way.

The mounted replicas of my fathers WWII medals with the 2 new additions the Australianicon Service Medal 1945-1975 with clasp & Bar and the 1939 - 1945 Star these I will now wear on ANZAC day without putting my fathers real medals at risk.
As we sometimes see a poor ol digger that loses his medals on the day and more often than not they are never returned they can get replacements but its not the same as the original issued ones.

I'll be wearing one of the ANZAC shirts that were custom made one shirt per year made by a lady here in West Au that started out as a mission of recognising our armed services each have a COA are numbered sadly she passed away before completing the set from 1914-18 including the first fleets leaving Albany.
(Pic of one of the shirts, scarf & cap I wore ANZAC day 2015)

    Cinders,
Did he do four years and over and run into 1945? If so looking at his medals there he would also be eligible for the Australianicon Defence Medal. Its red with two white lines down the ribbon.

Originally the ADM was the one I put in for, the person at the ADF informed me that he did not qualify for that particular medal as that was after a certain date in 1945 going forward my Bro (Dec) is I think eligible for it being in the RAAF 20 years prior to his untimely death at the age of 43.
I may contact my sister in-law over the matter as it would be something for her and his daughters to remember him by as well.

Dad was discharged in Nov 1945.
