    New 1919 Lithgow bayonet

    Picked this up last weekend. Nice matching 1919 Lithgowicon bayonet and frog.

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.  Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.     Nice to have the matching scabbard with the MD on there the frog is also another good find the leather one with the helve strap would have been nice but you'll find that when they come up for sale be prepared to pay big $'s for just that item. Thats about a $400 - $500/Aud depending on who wanted it.
    I brought a 5MD 1916 Lithgow and a matching 5MD 1916 Lithgow scabbard both are in excellent condition was not cheap but it matches my 5md 1916 Lithgow MKIII. (5MD Western Australia)

    The 2nd Military District was an administrative district of the Australianicon Army that covered most of New South Wales, with its headquarters in Sydney. The southern border with the 3rd Military District was the Murrumbidgee River rather than the Murray River, and the western part of the state around Broken Hill was part of the 4th Military District.[1]
