    Guess What?

This year, I decided that I wanted to relax thoroughly. I made two record years in a row in sales during Covid. Now I’m a bit tired, and wanted to just let out some steam. So, I took 3 weeks for me and my “gang”. Now, Sunday my wife starts not feeling ok. Tuesday she’s positive. I broke a tooth and needed urgent attention.
What could I do? I started making all those little works, improvements, maintenance at home. After 4 days of that, I’m frigging enjoying myself like crazy!!!
Tomorrow, early wake up (it is extremely hot here), and I’ll start painting the outer walls of my home.
Then I’ll take the kids up the mountains for a couple days, until Monday.
I always considered myself double left-handed. But lately I invested in some tools and now…everything is easy.
I never would have thought to like all this so much…
No shooting now. Our ranges are furnaces. No fun.

Steady as you go...... A plumber that I know once told me, years ago, that he use to get fairly regular emergency call outs from a customer who "worked in finance" in the week but liked to have a "relaxing weekend" "dabbling in DIY". The problem was that the individual tended to make "schoolboy errors" such as, in an effort to stop a floorboard from creaking by driving a large nail through it, inadvertently also rupturing a water pipe under the floorboard with the nail. In other words a small job, of stopping a floorboard from creaking, was turned into a much bigger job, of fixing a pipe with a nail through it, simply through a lack of experience and thought.

Measure twice cut once Ovidio, what I like about doing chores around the house or mechanical stuff on my bikes the directions say it's easy to do, meanwhile back at the ranch funny how things escalate when you start pulling gear apart.
Take for instance my wifes CBR1000RR Honda had a oil leak out the top of the stator grommet easy fix well not quite you have to tear the left side fairings off they put the push pins in very awkward spots as well as the seat and tank cover so you can get to the connector for the stator.
I was skimpy on the sealant the first time with no gasket however I did wet & dry the mating surface of the cover on a wall tile for flatness but as I skimped on the sealant with no gasket, in the exploded drawing Honda did not have a gasket, but you can buy aftermarket ones reassembled the bike and it leaked more than before!!!***-@@@.
So the second time I did the stator cover I got a gasket and used more sealant it don't leak now, but heck they could have supplied a 3" mechanic with the bike..............!!!!!
