A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Humphrey was born near my hometown. I lived near Knoxville, TN, and regularly traveled through Morristown to visit my grandmother in Johnson City.

Yes Morristown is just 20 miles away from where I live. Travel through there going to ranges in my area. Thanks for this picture mark! Always interesting to learn more about my local people and their contributions to the war effort. From the look on that poor little girl's face, she was most likely traumatized the rest of her life in one form or fashion by what she is witnessing. Tragic all the way around, especially since he died the next day from when this picture was taken
