Picked up a nice WW2 German Issue Browning High Power this week

Had quite a few of these over the years, but first time with the frame serial number at the font of the frame

That's what I'm actively searching for at present. Others, just keep getting in the way.

Walther PP and PPK had similar serial number stampings on SS issued examples.

I have no idea if the same could apply to Hi Powers but that's the first thing that came to mind.
