    Victorian era Slade-Wallace Pat.1882 Belt & Frog

From the estate of an old veteran of the 48th.Highland Reg't. of Canadaicon, I acquired this buff leather belt and frog. It's the more scarce 1882 pat. as opposed to the more common 1888 pat. Included is the bayonet frog, also not a common item. You will note the retractable shoulder strap attachment points on the back of the belt. This probably dates to the Boer war when the regiment was formed. These are most uncommon in this condition. I'm asking $350. + shipping (firm!).

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.
