Parker Hale FS22A Front Globe sight

Good evening,

A quick question about the Parker Hale FS22A Front Globe sight. Will this front globe sight attach to a Lee Enfield No 8 Mk 1 .22 trainer without any alterations? If any adaptation / alterations are required, what might they be? Thanks in advance for any information.

Doug,
There are three F.S.22 variants, you need the F.S.22B for a No.8 rifle.

The others are:

F.S.22 For BSA Martini rifles with a slot cut in the barrel.

F.S.22A* For BSA Supersport 5 and BSA Century Match Rifles
(*requires special fitting)

Thank you for that very valuable information. I have a mint FS 22A Front Globe sight but obviously need the FS 22B sight. Are you aware of where I could source an FS 22B sight? I could trade for this 22A I have. Thanks for your time.

They occasionally turn up on Ebay but I would have thought your best bet would be gun shows where dealers bring along boxes of bits.
