    No.71 MkI scope

    On usedguns -

    Calibre/Item: Scope

    Make: Britishicon

    Model: No71mk1

    Serial No: 21698/80

    Condition: Very Good

    Phone: 0409539017

    Price: $1500

    Licence Number:

    Advertised: 08/01/2023

Comment: The No71mk1 scope is basically a No32Mk2 scope with a different colour paint and reticle. The reticle is an etched hash pattern. This could be used on a NO4T sniper rifle, I checked with Malcolm Eames at Optical Repair i. QLD and they can change the reticle to the post And crosshair sniper reticle. Scope functions perfectly mechanically and glass is great. Better option than the Chinese copies for a No4T clone . Price includes post, no calls just to chat please.

I'm wondering if the drums are able correlate to the same POI as the No.32 scope for the 303 No.4 all I could find on the scope said this -
Range verifier for the Centurion Tank!.

These were indeed uused on the old Mk1 Centurions and later, the BESA mounted Mk3 Cents. Hence the silver paint job, that distinctly shows the blood as you knock your head against it in the confines of the turret. Much easier to colimate to the machine gun or Polsten cannon than the No42 or 53 with their eccentric ring mounts

Changing the graticle diaphragm - or modifying the old optiglass cross-hair grat is simple enough - if you know what you're doing

A bit more difficult is the removal of the old No71 engraved markings. Of the dozen or so I have converted, I simply bead blasted the area and lead loaded those markings, then over engraved with No32 Mk whatever it was originally.

If you buy it, take that into account.
