Way back in 2018 i put a post up on the forum about a German Model 71 Mauser my buddy had because I didn't know what it really was or the actual caliber. Bob q, RCS, rcathey, browningautorifle (jim), and Patrick Chadwick helped me discover that it is a shortened Model 71 with a stock that was cut down from a Model 71/84 and that the ammunition for this rifle is the 6,5x53.5R Daudeteau.
Well, I'm still messing with this rifle and recently was able to find four cartridges for it (won't be shooting them). I'm considering making a high temp silicone mold of the bullet so that I can cast and powder coat some bullets to load shootable cartridges. I picked up some old Hollywood 6.5x55mm dies to modify as well.
