LEC 1 cavalry carbine bolt find.

I was pretty excited to find what was billed as a Lee Metford bolt today at the gunshow, with the dust cover lugs intact! Exactly what I needed for a project.

I got it home to inspect and realized it has the flattened handle of the cavalry carbine.
Now while this is still a prize, at least for the price I paid, it's not what I need.
I don't suppose there's anyone out there whose cavalry carbine is sporting a Long Lee bolt?
I'd love to be able to trade mine for a correct version.

I'm probably shooting myself in the foot for future projects, but this eBay seller has a lot of MLE parts. I'm waiting for shipping on a MLE bolt from him. The dust cover might be a trick though. Be aware that Enfield bolts don't usually swap without hand fitting. .303 Lee enfield MLE volley sight long tom | eBay

Thanks, I'll have a look. I know what you mean about the dust covers!
I've learnt how to fit a bolt properly from guidance on this forum, so I'm hopefully good there. After I posted this thread I noticed that Numrich has a stripped Lee Metford bolt body, which should work, with the other parts from the original bolt (not the LEC1 bolt). I'm assuming they are the same as the MLE design?
    Cheers,
    Burton
