I don't think this country will fail, we will manage to survive no matter what idiot we have for a president. The bum can't last forever someone will take him down.

    I'm not so sure...

I'm not so sure - I think most of the changes we are going through are irreversible - - I bet you can't think of too many govt programs that have ever gone away..... once in place - always in place.

I am amazed at how easily everyone is standing by and watching this happen.... we have truly lost the cold war....

Govt is getting their fingers WAY too deep into the free market - sooner or later you have to say it ain't free anymore.... we let govt social engineer our lending systems until it has almost crippled us... then they tried to hide their failures by taking the remainder of the system over....

I think it will take a revolution to resolve - too many people are willing to allow Obama the messiah to save us all - - mass'a be taking good care of us.

The govt is completely out of control..... we need a third pary (Tea Party?) to uproot those that are using the "system" for their own benefit... the politicians have truly become a ruling class that has no one to worry about - they just pat us on the head and send us on our way.....

I just don't think we can shift the country back - - - too many feel good people and not enough kick arse and take name people.

It was a close call with Carter, I'm now afraid we may have reached the tipping point. It may not be our call, we now have enemies lining up to take a crack at us, and it's hard to have a revolution while defending the country.
Sorry you caught me on a bad day, Bob

Turn out for a Tea Party on the 15th; here's the one I went to (PHOTOS & STORY)

April 4th, West Chester, Pennsylvania. This is one of those Tea Parties you've heard of. On April 15th, more than 300 of them are planned.

About 125 - 150 of us showed up in this country seat to protest the budget, the spending and to show our support for the United Statesicon.

Crowd about equally divided between men and women, and many couples brought their kids along. Very good natured people, and easy to talk to; no one seemed like a stranger, though for most, this was their first ever protest.

More "Don't Tread on Me" flags than I've ever seen in one place; they look great!

Two guys showed up - trolls I suppose - and tried to engage one of the participants in a dialogue about "What's wrong with obama and Socialism". They were told, not politely, to shove off. I wish I'd had the chance to deal with them; I enjoy making mincemeat.

The protest was from 12 to 1, but ran over by maybe 20 minutes.

This spot is where the anti-war peaceniks tend to protest; this part of the county has many Quakers. They didn't show up today.

This day was pure pro-American. Lot's of good signs, flags, many vets and people from all walks of life.

The veteran in the wheelchair: I spoke with him, he served in a tank division throughout the European war, and he filled me in on the M4 Sherman, which he hated. I had just learned that Patton had vetoed the more powerful and mobile M26 Pershing, and he was kind of shocked when I informed him.

A state representative spoke, as did a congressman from this region. But the man shown speaking in the photo below really got my attention.

He emigrated from Russiaicon, now runs a small electronics business. While his accent was pretty strong, he spoke passionately about the oppression under the Soviet Socialist system. Little to no freedom, of speech or anything else , and widespread poverty. He issued a strong warning that it can happen here; he despises what he sees happening here today because it brings back such ugly memories.

I hope the younger people paid attention; I think they did because he was pretty powerful.

The bronze plaque on the wall behind him bears the Ten Commandments; George Will once made the excellent point that they are not called The Ten Suggestions.

All in all, a nice day, nice people, highly motivated.

    Regards,
    Louis of PA

P.S. I've no idea why the photos reproduced here in different sizes; must be gremlins.

    Tea Party

I will be at the April 15th Tea Party in Sacramento, CA - on the steps of the state capitol - - -

The local flag specialty shop had to order my Don't Tread on Me flag (Gadsden Flag) - seems they have been having trouble keeping them in stock - he assures me it will arrive prior to the party....

Notice the response? I had a hunch most wouldn't answer.

If your wondering my intentions...YES. I just hope that there are other true patriots who will be covering my six. But so far it's going to be very lonely at the front.
