    Numrich let me down

ive been dealing with Numrich (Gun Parts Corp) for at least 25 years if not more and never have i felt like they left me holding a smelly bag until now

bought a (as advertised) , "rear sight slide for 71/84 Mauser" , it arrived today and i open and its missing the lever assemble , the lever , spring , and hinge pin , so i call them and they said we sell those parts separately , well maybe you should put that important tidbit in the description , because its worthless without them

then she says we are out of those parts ,i thinking yea , ya think? she says we can refund , so they charged me $9.00 for a padded first class envelope , now it will cost what ever for me to return, so if it does cost $9 then i go through all of this for $3 of the $31 dollars they charged to send me that non sense

Never had it that bad, but sometimes getting parts is a crapshoot there

i am surprised , ive restored many a weapon with their parts over the years and have had nothing but high praise until this , , deceptive picture did not show a angle where the adjustment lever would be so it never even was a whiff it was incomplete , and entitled "Mauser 71/84 rear sight slide" , not incomplete sight slide

It is a crapshoot. I've gotten wrong parts off them 25% of the time I've ordered from them. Always too much effort and too much cost to correct them also. But there aren't many other sources so I keep going back.

Agreed with the crapshoot. Years ago they were great but in the last 25 years not so much. Now we can't get anything across the border so not a problem but many here quit dealing with them years back.
    Regards, Jim

They dont have many original parts left. They will not pay for stuff being sent to them either. The people who work there have no knowledge of older firearms. I have more people bring me parts lots that they tried to sell to that company an were told it was only worth a few dollars. Its mind numbing when i pay them some times hundreds of dollars for there stuff. I am not sure i have what you need. But will look if you want to pm me the info.

Dealt with them off and on for decades. Always been a crap shoot. Once many, many years ago, I ordered up an extractor for a M1917, nothing at all rare at the time. They sent me one that was severely rusted, edges gone, and big holes through it. Looked like it had been dug up after spending twenty years buried in a muddy field. A single glance would have shown it to be absolutely useless for any purpose whatsoever. I couldn't believe that someone had actually hand picked that out of a bin, packed it up, and mailed it.
The second one they shipped was fine. Of course, as the guys have said, I ate the hefty shipping and handling fees. Mostly, they've done better, but (obviously) that transaction still rankles.

i always looking for a slide for a Gewehr 88 , the gew 88 and the 71/84 use the exact slide , i know the 88's are missing the rear sight slide allot of times and when ever i see one i grab it as long as it doesnt take a second mortgage , i appreciate the offer , its not holding up a resto or anything ,its one of those parts its nice to have in reserve ive brought more than a few 88's back from the dead
