    XI Depot built k98

Hello everybody, thought I would show off this unique K98icon. Built in 41/42 to supplement rifle production, the German arsenal depots were ordered to make complete rifles from their parts stock. Made in Hannover it is XI marked on a bcd receiver. Only about 3-4 others that I know of from this depot, only this one is matching, down to the hand guard and has all of the "1" marks you would see on repair parts along with a "2" marked barrel. Someone shellacked the stock though, but at least it wasn't sanded and still has all its stamps. And the it hasn't hardley beem shot near as I can tell, beautiful bore and bolt face. Don't know if they will ever be worth as much but it isn't going anywhere for a long time.

Lovely rifle, and rare, even more so in that condition...!

Just the thing for putting round holes in square heads.

Yep, looks about flat new. Too bad it was varnished but at least it wasn't drastic alterations.
