Peters Barrels are world class, the amount of effort & time that goes in to manufacturing them comes at a cost, when you then factor in bluing or blacking, fitting the sights, breaching up, proofing & cost of shipping to & from the proof house its going to some where near £800 for a No4.

When you tell people its going to cost this for a re-barrel, they often respond its out of my budget range, was hoping for an original surplus barrel, thinking they are still £100 each
    Regards Simon

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Aah.... followed by the usual response of, "But I only paid £75 for the rifle".............. forgetting to add that was 30 years ago
Just the thing for putting round holes in square heads.

If anyone in the US is ordering barrels from Mr. Sarony, please PM me. I contacted him, and at this time he is not willing to ship only one barrel. I'd like to get one of his CLLE barrels. I'm more than willing to pay for my barrel and any reasonable middle man fee to get it.

    Bulk order through Brian Dickicon?
