This river looks pretty small and narrow to me. The Rhine is huge and wide almost everywhere the allied troops
Passed. Might be some branch of it?

Very possible - several places on the Rhine that could fit - the image has been used to depict the crossing of other rivers also

In your second picture MARK,
Looks like convoy coming from the river,
And POWs heading down to the bridge ?
At any rate, thanks for all your work putting these pictures together MARK,
As someone stated in the past,
"They just make the coffee taste better" !
