    Auction Uniforms

I haven't taken any photos yet but these are the auction photos. None were really identified by the auction house other than the 2nd Army shirt being WWII. The buttons are off the jacket with the 2nd Army shirt. I suspect this is a post WWI uniform but not sure, the one collar disk is WWI era, the other, the bright one, is post WWI. The rest all appears to be Post WWII, Korean era. All appears to be Army, most of the uniforms with the exception of the early ones are marked with the same laundry number so probably all belonged to the same guy. The Marine Corps coat is an anomaly. Two of the green ripstop pants have 13 star buttons on them, no matching buttons on any of the shirts. but assuming these two go with the two green shirts with the black and orange tags.

If anyone can help ID the time period these uniforms belong to, I would appreciate it. The WWII shirt is dated 1944, the hats are the only other things that are tagged and dated.

The early uniform with the single red chevron is an artillery lance corporal from 1902-1926 rank. Probably later as there is no specialty insignia. But also prior to 1920 when the lance corporal insignia was eliminated.

Looks like the Specialist ranks didn't start until 1954.

The Marine Corps rank appears to be WWII

Name tapes yellow on black were 1953-1968?

Took some photos today, found an additional tag on one of the coats and found a name and I’d number. The tag is on one of the coats and is a 1951 dated 1950 over coat. I can’t confirm the name but it apparently all came in the duffel bag. Not having much luck finding information on the guy. It’s possible the oldest uniform was his fathers and his were from Korea to the early 60’s while he progressed from a specialist to an E-6 in the anti aircraft command. The WWII shirt doesn’t quite fit and the Marine Corps coat doesn’t either.

Found this tag while looking closer outside, 1951 date, it's a really nice coat, shame it ian't anywhere near fitting me. I did find a couple of references to a guy with this name that lived most of his life in New Jersey and recently moved to New Holland PA which is where I got these. Sources say he's still alive and 90 which would be the right age. No other information yet.

The Marine Corps coat with some stamps inside the sleeves near the shoulders. Can't make some of them out. The one that is by itself almost looks like it has a date but I can't make it out. Maybe 1944.

    The 13 star pants

And the name on the duffle bag and on a belt.

Duffle bag is marked with US.
