A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Hmmm, let's see.... buy it now for $110.... bail from federal lock-up (15% of the amount set $500K) is $75,000.... lawyers at $350 an hour will come to $50,000... Subtract the equity in the house..... add 10 years of free room and board... oh, flowers for your cellmate on his birthday.... let's see... write the 5 and carry the 1.... about $250,000 (plus shipping)... I think I will pass on that bid....

    Thumbs up

Perfectly legal! All the parts needed to convert are not there. It IS legal to own some individual parts, But not the whole set.

If you haven't shot a fully auto rifle, you have missed something.

A lot of us got our first chance in a war. I have shot a variety of machine guns. 50cal, 30cal, M-16, M-60, M-2 Carbine, BAR, Thompson, Bren, Sten, M-3 Grease Gun. Always wanted to try an MP-40, but never had the chance. The drawback is the cost of ammo. But what a rush.

There are places that have fully auto days, where you can shoot someone's gun, for a price. One is coming up the 16/17 of May in Oregon.
