Long Lee Enfield front sight attachment

Is anyone familiar with how the Long Lee Enfield front sight attaches to the barrel? It appears to be simply silver soldered in place, but does the barrel or sight have a keyway like the later SMLE? Or does the front sight sit into a rectangular recess cut in the barrel?
Does anyone have a picture of the sight removed intact?

I salvaged the sight from a junk barrel once. Solder, but no key or recess.

It is just soldered on along with a small bit of metal both front and rear.
The solder appears to be soft solder....
