Why not do it!
Simple it takes about 10 psi roughly to send the air into your body get some of that air in your blood stram an presto air embolism and a pine box for you.
So if you see someone doing that stop them before they light switch themselves out of this life!
Yes I've tried to explain that to a few people over the years but all I've ever got is anger and distain in response. I remember one chap, years ago, who use to give his hair and scalp a thorough "blow-out" every day with compressed air. It was pointless me trying to tell him anything as he always contradicted everything that I said.

Long story but years ago when I was in High School working at a tire store / truck stop off the highway I was the only one who could mount split rim - 2 piece rims. We had no safety cage and I'd refuse to do them. My Father who was a heavy equipment operator his whole life got ahold of one and delivered it to me. But it was huge at about 7' tall used for heavy equipment like earthmovers etc. I used it there and took it with me when I left. No easy task with it weighing in around 800lbs. It sat in my buddies barn for years until I built my workshop. Cut some height and length away and use it for a safety cage for my 60 gallon upright compressor. Years back at the truck / tire store we'd get a Safety newsletter and I remember reading about multiple guys getting killed by split rims and recall a big compressor exploding in Dayton, Ohio causing near by oil barrels to catch fire. The business was a total loss. I don't remember about injuries.
My Air Compressor Tips:
A- Drain often and leave petcock open when not in use. Don't store with tank full of air- it draws moisture.
B- Swap out Pressure relief valve (Poppet Valve) every 2 years. NEVER EXCEED CURRENT SPECS
C- Swap out Pressure Safety Switch: measures the pressure inside your air tank and shuts off your compressor when it reaches the air pressure you need.
.......... NEVER EXCEED CURRENT SPECS
D- Don't set Max Tank pressure higher than you need.
E- Always adjust air pressure gauged to the tool your using.
F- Check fresh air inlet filter and clean or replace as needed.
G- Check / Change the oil often.
I often throw in a small portable air tank on trips. After seeing this video my days of sitting with it between my legs filling it with 100psi as I read the made in China label on it are over
No drain petcock on those............
