    Another Royal Tiger Import Gamble

Put an order in yesterday for an Austro-Hungarianicon M1888-95 Mannlicher. Supposed to be rare as stated by numerous sources. These are 1888 rifles with M95 sights and possibly barrels but not all were replaced apparently. Sub $300, condition is said to be poorer than most. They are complete with the possible exception of the rear sight slide and with iffy bores

I'll see if my luck holds. I'm four for four in getting firearms I'm happy with. No FFL with this one, straight to the house.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Good Luck! Some folks were happy with the 1917a1 parts kits they received.

Back when they were IO I liked them.

It's out for delivery today. Super-fast on this one. Seven days from order being placed. They usually take 3 weeks just to ship. Was originally due Monday but it's getting here faster. I'm glad because Fed Ex deliveries are a real pain for us. They always, ALWAYS, deliver when we are not here despite being given assigned times. It was a real problem with my wife's cancer drugs and we finally switched them to the cancer center where she could pick them up. They knew what they were, they knew they had to be delivered at a certain time. The first time they did send the truck back after hours but not after that. Signature required which is the problem. One of us will be here today till it arrives. They are telling me between 9:20 and 1:20, betting it isn't in that time period. I'm predicting 2:15 because that's when they always get here.
