Seen on eBay UK - Leather Spare Barrel Case?

I noticed this on eBay UKicon and the vendor thinks that it may be a leather spare barrel case for the bren. Was there such a thing as I've not seen one before?

I've seen the leather case for the cleaning rods/kit.

I seriously doubt it's for spare barrels. Box 50 of 71...

Yes, I have my doubts too, but it does look similar in style to the leather case used for the cleaning rods.

I haven't ever seen one in leather but it LOOKS like a leather holdall - as used during the days of pack-saddlery. Note the spaces for all the stuff that you stuff on the webbing hioldall. Just my guess. Never been into leather. I'm more of a rubber man myself......

Whatever it is, it looks like it was never used.

If you really want to know, contact the maker and see if they have any idea:

“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
