    For a mere $18,200, you can...

    ...buy a pallet of 28,000 rounds of ex-Indian military .303 Britishicon FMJ MK VII 174GR FMJ, Corrosive, Berdan Primed ammo*. That's a mere 65¢ per round. This is a hell of a deal since the $18,200 price is knocked down from the original $30,000.

    303 British FMJ MK VII 174GR FMJ (Pallet of 28,000 Rounds) Corrosive, Berdan Primed | The Castle Arms

    Yes, they'll sell you smaller quantities, too. Oh yeah, don't forget to add in delivery costs!

    DON'T FORGET: at 10 rounds per mag, that's enough for 2,800 full mags. You know, in case you want to start your own little war with the neighbors!

    * The info is real, but I'm posting this tongue in cheek...

    Glad I bought a lifetime supply of HXP when the Grade A and B were selling for .35/round. At the rate I've been popping caps, it's ten lifetimes.......

    If it's POFicon ammo then be advised I used '67 POF MkVII and it was like a black powder flintlock click -------- bang -------- confetti & smoke out the muzzle -------- where did that go.
    I had so many hang fires it just destroyed my confidence only used 64 rounds then started reloading but the POF was cheap $15/Aud for 32 rounds (Got what I paid for.)

    Well, of course they do tell you in the name :

    P = Pecentage
    o = Of
    F = failures

    Don't say you were not warned !
    Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

    That Kirkee ammo shown by the OP in the 1940 & 41 dated packages would be considered highly desirable as collectors' ammo by many here in the UKicon. And Living History buffs love to fill their bandoliers with the 'right stuff', (although it would have to be pulled first).

    Picked up a couple of cases of 1944 Greenwood & Bailey back in the day. Still have one unopened. The other was rife with hang fires or outright duds, so now supplies projectiles. Who knows where it sat for decades, but it didn't do it any favors.

    Greenwood and Batley, Leeds, UKicon. This company manufactured Ammunition from an early stage, finally ceasing production in the late 1950s.
    They had a filling factory at Abbey Wood and later during the 1939-45 war a filling factory at Farnham.
    The headstamp code G, denoting manufacturer, should not be confused with G as in GIV indicating a tracer cartridge.
    During WW1 Greenwood & Batley are known to have produced in excess of 705 million .303 Mk 7 cartridges.
    They are known to have manufactured .303 cartridges in...
