A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. The A5 was last manufactured about 100 years ago. You will most likely need to search for an A5 scope that is damaged to salvage the lens you need. Search Google for "A5 scope for sale”. This will be a long process. I had a similar need for an A5 part and after about 5 years of looking, I just sold the parts I had and moved on to a different scope.

you may want to look at the hi lux repro 5 power scope, as its a copy of the Lyman A5

As I understand it, the 5A was the exact same parts. Since Winchester sold everything to Lyman. Try this fellow below, also, if you can find a part number or a lens specification, I’ve had good luck with finding them at the web address below. By using part numbers I found a large supply of OEM M81/82 and 84 glass and parts “very” cheap. I was able to repair a number of scopes, even the old Winchester #8s (8X).
I’ll pm you instead, check your in box. I couldn’t remember his eBay seller ID.

Randy, I'm trying to put a Win A5 back together as well and could use a spring and possibly an objective lens if I can't restore the one i have. Would you be so kind as to pass his info on to me as well?
