Veteran License plate frames ansd others
This veteran was an USAF Combat pilot and he started to make custom license plate frames for Veterans. I bought two several years ago and they look like new.
Mine says "Vietnam Medic. USAF Air Sea Rescue". You do not even pay for the plate until you get it!
I have nothing in this and I would suggest you take a look. He also makes plates for wives and non-veterans.

They look great A.F. Medic always nice to see the veteran plates around here. I always let them in. We have government issed plates in B.C., do individual states do the same thing?

To answer the question from Canada
, yes many States have veteran's plates. Here in California you get a personalized plate plus the logo of your service or in some cases the individual organization (U.S. Army 4th ID for example). My Son and I both have veteran's plates. Other states also have plates for the National Guard.

1943 and 1944 soybean and cardboard license plates
my father's neighbor had these license plates, he was a policeman and his badge was #95 and his address was 934 Glencoe Rd.
These plates were made from a soybean and cardboard mixture and animals often would eat these licence plates

If I'm not mis-remembering was there not a car made out of paper or paper mache and highly painted/varnished in the Reno/Harrah/s car museum? If I remember correctly these cars were produced during the war ( maybe WWI ).

Don't know about that car, but the one I remembered at Harrah's was a British one that had a hydraulic ram built into the door in case some dangerous African game tried to get too close along side.
