    Remington M1917 pricing?

What is an original finish Remington M1917 with matching 6-18 barrel worth?

For the sake of this question let's make the following assumptions (not my rifle and I haven't seen it yet): the barrel is serviceable and the rest of the rifle is a mixmaster.

What should a rifle like this sell for/be purchased for? This would be in the USAicon.

    Thanks.

Reckon around 600 to 700 U.S. Barrel condition is the real killer. Would be worth 800 to 850 Aussie over here.

Photos would be a big plus, are you able to post some? The barrel is the key as original barrels are tough to get, spendy and cost you money to hire a competent gunsmith. I'm assuming that all the wood is intact and in issued condition with some bumps and dings. Metal would be blued, not parked with most bluing still there. Look all around the end of the barrel, are there import marks? An off the cuff guess for a mixmaster around here would be $450-600. A good condition "U.S." bayonet with correct sheath would add about $150.

If its all in really good shape, original finish, original barrel in really good shape you are looking at something like 650-700 dollar range, mixmaster doesn't really affect the price too much if it has the proper barrel.

Stonewall56, I am not able to post pictures. It is not my rifle and I do not have any pictures yet. I do not believe it is import marked. I don't believe that there is a bayonet or any other accessories included with the sale of this rife.

Dan, I do not know if the whole rifle is blued or not. The barrel and receiver are supposed to be but I do not know about the rest of the rifle. I was told the bore is shootable, but I do not know more than that. I'm hoping to look at it soon so I can provide more details.

    Thanks.

Why don't you float a price of $500 to see if there is any interest (but don't act too terribly interested yourself!).
