The Havlin scope mount does not fit to the holes for the rear sight. Only a few of the CMPicon 44 US rifles are drilled for the scope mount.

I have two 44's, and they both love to be shot, cleaned, and handled. they shoot very well and my old eyes are not good like they used to be, and I will not put a scope on them, that would ruin the gun.

Was at the North store last week, bought two m44 there, They were "incomplete" the two blued ones I picked up were missing the rear app on the sights and one of them was also missing the front sight, Soon to be replaced by a globe front and two rear aps from Havlin. Just over $200.00 for both OTD.

The Kimbers CMPicon sells for a bargain price, routinely outshoot 52's, 40X's or M12's. Most 52s are worn out, same for the 40x's as they made only a handful, and when was the last time you saw a 52 for sale? We are not talking about something sitting in a safe, but something you can buy today and take to the range, and shoot ten Xs.

Yeah, my Springfield M22 shoots clover leafs. Hey wait. Is there an M22 collectors club? Do they have a newsletter?

I have a 144 LSB that came from CMPicon years ago and that thing shots real well. My buddy has a 44 that is basically the same animal and is just as capable but it is equipped with lesser sights. We are in the process of upgrading them and then he should be able to give me hell at the range.......

Sorry, but I could not agree less. I own a Kimber, 52D and a few
M12's. My Kimber comes in last. AND, Most 52D's are not worn out.

I have to aggree with Devil Dog on this one. The three Win 52's, the three Rem 40X's, and H&R 12 are not shotout. I haven't seen a Kimber yet that can out shoot anything. That is the reason the the Goverment is selling them all New In the Box because they never measured up to a true target rifle. The Kimber was to replace the aged Win 52's and rem 40X's but they couldn't. My idea on the subject.

The Kimbers were being phased in as the EPA started closing down indoor ranges all over the country. The Army now uses pellet rifles for JROTC so the high schools don't have to build an EPA/OSHA improved indoor range.
