A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Nothing wrong with a High Power, great guns. You can't go wrong with either one.

I bought a 1911 in 9mm in the 1980s and it is the first pistol we grab when we go to the range. The trouble is if my wife and daughter go with me, I never get to shoot it. They both just hand me back the empty magazine to fill, not the 1911.

    Browning High Power

Go for the Browning HP. A classic pistol that feels just right in one's hand. Might cost a bit more but well worth it.

The CZ75 or 85 are built like tanks, are accurate, not made of "tupperware" and will eat anything. Dave_n

Thanks for the advice guys. After digesting all the info that was provided I went with the majority. Today I bought a new CZ 75 B. I like the heft of an all steel pistol and this one feels good in the hand. I can't wait to take it out to the range and start shooting targets and bowling pins. I'm sure I made a good choice.
