    Thoughts on this Remington Rand

I went to an auction and purchased this Remmington Rand. To me the price was not to bad but once you add the buyers premium and sales tax it's up there. I am just trying to reassure myself that I am not upside down. The pistol appears correct and the sn is 1929556. I have a tag where the soldier that had it brought it back from europe. Not capture papers but US Army Europe - Provost Marshal. The finish to looks to be thin but the inside was just a new as it could be. HS marked barrel, FJA and Proof Marks are onthe pistol. The pistol has honest wear and looks to have been carried and then stored in a holster. It also came with a 1943 dated brown leather holster. There was no Mag, If anyone has a spare REmington Rand Mag to part with I would be interested.TIA

Nice honest USGI pistol. Shows even wear with no abuse, and an acquired look. I have a US&S in the same condition. A definite keeper, congratulations.
