Sure, those "...vendors"
weren't ATFE??
Of course it like the First Medina show after the ASW ban when into effect, some "biker" (shaved head, full ahndle bar mustached) astride his bike, hawking "GOT a AK47, here".

Yes it all sounds suspicious and probably should be checked out. If it hasn't been already. Who makes the phone call? Hitler had everyone reporting everyone for everything and the men in black trenchcoats came in the middle of the night. Why just today I read in the Sheriff's blotter in the paper where someone called in about 2 SUSPICIOUS people looking at an empty house. That's the neighborhood I would like to look at an empty house in. Just think I look and buy and the cops show up at the housewarming party because it was reported that all those SUSPICIOUS people were showing up and drinking and the loud music. Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Amerika.

We all get upset (OK...maybe not "all" - that would be an over-generalization - let's say "many of us") about how the Muslims here in America don't seem to be doing anything to help prevent more terrorist attacks (and, it may be that they are, we just don't hear about it). Many of us think that the Muslims should be doing their part to help solve the problem - show they are not PART of the problem by policing themselves, as it were.
How about we help police ourselves, before the Kenyan appoints those of his choosing to do the policing? Why shouldn't we be aware of things going on around us (possible illegal aliens buying large quantities of firearms and ammunition at exorbitant prices every couple of weeks from unlicensed DEALERS - that's what they are, of course - and, I suspect, paid with cash - I hear alarm bells....) and when we are sufficiently curious, why not call the authorities?
Rant over, flame on....

Was installing a new garage door on the house today, if you need one....PAY someone else to do the work, so since about sunset, I've been relaxing with some 80 proof, quite a few, now I'm hoping my short rant will still make sense in the morning.
I happen to have been born in NYC. I grew up with the same facts most city dwellers knew about guns.... Cops and criminals had them and as a regular citizen we couldn't.
Moved to Virginia and as a teenager learned I'd been hoodwinked and began the transfer of the greenback for a chunk of cold steel. No backgrounds needed just cash.
Somewhere along the line the folks who ran places like NYC began spreading their garbage that guns were evil, and most folks began acting like sheep and accepting this BS.
I never read anything pertaining to the Right to Bear Arms didn't apply to the non criminal living in the ghetto's, the legal alien living here and wanting something to protect ones family. There have been foreign folks fighting for the red white and blue since we fought the Brits.
Purchasing, selling and owning firearms should take one thing...MONEY. If you feel otherwise you have simply been brainwashed.
Time for another sip...Cheers.

Louis in PA,
I agree with you. assuming they are there every two weeks or so and spending that kind of money is enough for me to be suspicious. Not that they haul them away in plastic bags. That is usually the supplied method to carry out a purchase by sellers of most items at gun shows and flea markets. How many of you that do sell have regular buyers that come up with that kind of money ever two weeks or so? Lets be realistic about this.

A few years ago, I was at a antique/flea market a little northwest of Orlando. A guy there had some nice military colt 45's in excellent condition. I was very unhappy to see them as I wasn't a resident. He said it wasn't a problem, he wasn't a resident of Florida either. He said the county is pretty lenient around here. So he, from one state wanted to sell a handgun to me from a different state and complete the transaction in a third state.
I call the ATF and they ask what day that was. I tell her, Saturday and she says, Oh. As if, they don't work on Saturday.
Maybe the reason some people want to close the supposed gun show loophole is because the ATF doesn't want to work on weekends.

While Handgun Control Inc talks about the "gun show loophole", what they really want to implement is "police approval of all private firearms transactions". I think the heart of the problem AFM posted is that, especially in Central Florida, there are many gun shows where guns are sold at tables on a regular basis by unlicensed dealers. These guys seem to be getting away with it now, but eventually ATF will realize that there are Merit Pay Bonuses to be earned here. And, convictions will lead to new legislation that will hurt all of us law abiding shooters.
The ATF agent position REQUIRES 10 hours per week mandatory overtime, by the way. So, Saturday work shouldn't be a problem for them.

Guns and Flea markets.
I did not want to run a rant on this one, but as a long term volunteer fireman, "Where there is smoke. There is fire".
I do not care if they made a huge profit on their gun sales. They did not check IDs. Just the dead president's faces.
I go to this particular flea market at least two seperate times a year for five years. These vendors are always there.
Once when I was there, a FFL holder wanted to buy a pistol and wanted to check the serial number first.
Vendor said he could not sell him the pistol since this kind of check was not required! Thus, in a quantum leap of my intelligence,(want a possibly stolen firearm?) good chance you will find at least one around.
Other vendors of firearms there seem to have a different approach with IDs and I would be somewhat comfortable in a purchase from them. Prices are very high possibly as other individuals will pay what the markets requests.
Thanks for al your comments. I appreciate them. Church is over. Go in Peace.

It's transactions like these that end up hurting the rest of us. How much do you want to bet that if I went to the local Scheel's sporting goods store and bought an AR-15 every other week that I wouldn't have a BATFE agent knocking on my door or worse in a couple of months? It's one thing to order multiples of 90 year old bolt action rifles from Century but quite another to be buying what's described by A.F. Medic. The only other possibility: a sting operation. Carl
