.45ACP WW2 dated ammo worth

Anyone have any idea of what .45ACP ball ammo is with WW2 dates on it? One box sealed and dated 5/44 and the others are open and not sure of exact dates but full boxes and in WW2 date ranges.

If they are the 20 round boxes, they normally sell for $15/20 in nice unopened condition. I don't know if the ammo panic we are in right now has had an effect on their prices, but I would doubt it. They are so corrosive that an opened box laid near your pistol will rust the bore.

Any idea how much WWI ammo might be worth?
I have 7 rounds; one REM-UMC 2-13, three W 18, and three FA, dated 10-16, 10-17, and just 17. Also have 13 rounds between WWI and WWII, dated 26, 27, and 29 and early WWII; I think I paid $10 for the lot plus some other misc things in two bags.

The loose rounds may have a little value to Ammo collectors. Most rounds you have there are reletively common. You would be looking at $.50 to $1.00 each, give or take. The 1913 dated Rem-Umc might be a little higher, say $2.00 each.

Rule of thumb...almost any US .45ACP after 1912 is pretty common, and has little collector value.

hmmm, with commecial .45 selling for 60.00 a box , id say those are worth a bit more then 20.00 a box.

Commercially loaded 45 ammo has not yet gone out of sight here in VA. You can still buy new ammo for $18 to $25 a box. I've seen original GI WW II vintage M1911 Ball ammo at recent gun shows selling for $25 to $30 a box. As far as collectors ammo goes you can expect to pay somewhat more than that for tracer rounds, dummy rounds, or M12 or M15 shot cartridges that were issued in survival kits for small game hunting.

Bass Pro had Remington UMC priced at 65.00, you cant find .45 ACP, 9MM or .380 at shows here.
im glad i didnt sell off my extra ammo.
small and large rifle primers..wow. they are out of sight, 70.00 and up for a pack of them.

Bass Pro Shops usually don't scalp on their prices. I think I would avoid that store.
