type 99 lmg value?

Anyone care to hazard a guess on what a t99 lmg w/ matching numbers, scope(not original to gun), muzzle dust cover(Threads onto the barrel, w/ a hinged cap), repro flash hider, Jim Langely 7.62x39 conversion barrel (w/ 4 mags), two MG15 and one Hakim 30 rd mags converted for 77jap, might be worth?
Has capture papers consisting of the signed Navy document allowing it to be transported back to the states and the original ATF Importation form from 1946, now on form 4 w/ the original Navy guy listed as importer/manufacturer.
Wood is good, no nicks on the carry handle or bad dings on the stock, ~75-80% original finish. Only non-standard part is a roll pin on the bottom inspection plate (?) replacing the original split pin. It was built in 42, arsenal marking is three circles. (kokuru?) And has a bayonet w/ it. Captured on Pelileu, picked up from a pile in the hanger at the runway there after things had calmed down.
I apologize for the long post and bad spelling, and thank you in advance for any opinion you might care to share.

My WAG would be around $12,000. It is not clear from your post whether the 7.62x39 barrel is a converted original or is a spare barrel with the original intact? I would think that would be important to a buyer.

Thanks for the reply. It is a spare, the original is intact. Much handier to buy some 7.62x39 than 7.7, just doesn't go as far.

OK, a bit of a credibility check, I dont mind. Forgive me if you have never seen one, and at least you didnt call me a liar.
My Dad brought it back. He wanted to get it out of the house when my mom died, new honey doesnt like guns, much less machine guns, so I paid my taxes.
Situations change though, dont know how much longer I want to lug it around, as I have noone to pass it on to.
He also pulled a last ditch 99 long rifle out of the pile, dust cover, mum intact. And the two bayonets.
In the picture, it's wearing the conversion barrel, the original is the one underneath.

It's not going anywhere anytime soon. My dad isn't well, but he's doing OK, wouldnt dream of it while he is alive. Wouldnt want my wife to have to deal with it if I was to go, she cant hardly pick it up!
If there is any interest, I will try to get some pictures of both of the rifles and the capture papers this weekend, we've been working long days at the bomb factory tho, I'm dogmeat when I get home.

AHHH, I do know what it is. Somehow you original post sounded to me like some kind of converted bolt rifle (just confused in my old age) My vote is to hold onto it!

You have a nice Type 99 made at the Kokura arsenal. With the 7.92X39 barrel conversion kit and modified mags it is inexpensive to shoot. With the Capture papers I can say it'll price right now at $13,000 to 14,000. If you are seriously interested in selling it contact me as I am looking for a Type 99.

A snappy salute to your father along with both mine and my wife's thanks for his service against the Japanese Empire.My wife is a Hong Kong Chinese and my father in law was hung up by his heels by the kempeitai(Jap Gestapo) and had the daylights beaten out of him for two days after the Japs captured Hong Kong(raping and murdering the patients and nursing sisters in the Canadian Military hospital after the surrender too).Finally Jap A said to Jap B something like"what shall we do with Mr Leung here?"Shoot him? Jail him ? Chop off his head ?" and they decided that since he was only the foreman SAILMAKER in the Hong Kong Government's Marine Dept that he was not a big shot so they cut him loose.He literally crawled 2 miles across Kowloon to get home.Needless to say my wife's family aren't admirers of either the Japs OR their Korean toadies to this day.

My sweet wife ALSO has asked me to tell your Father that she hopes that he sent as many Japs as he could to"meet their ancestors"(in HELL she said in Cantonese)Old memories die hard with the Chinese as the Japs will find out one day.
