    Just got my first Carbine

I have been reading the forms and maybe sometime soon I'll strip it down again and look for more markings. It is a CMPicon SG Inland #1764xx 1-43 date. The stock only has the P mark, AAM and what looks like HI in the sling well. There also a carving of someone's initials. The recoil plate says Rock Ola. Here are some photos.

Let me know if there is anything else I should be looking for.

    Thanks

Nice purchase...You plan on shooting in the near future or is it more for an investment?

I little of both. My main reason was because my wife’s father was a company runner for the 2ID and was KIA June 13, 1944. He was posthumously awarded the DSC. I’m not sure if he as a runner would have carried the Carbine or the Garandicon but I have one of them on order also. The second reason is I have a feeling that these are going to become very scarce in the future.

    Thumbs up

Very nice, Cranky64. I'm no expert on Inlands but it seems like your 6 digit may even have it's original barrel, a bonus indeed. Let us know how she shoots as well as when you get another carbine to keep it company! ;-)
