    2. Description
First Year (1965) Ishapore 2A1 in "B" serial range. All serial numbers matching. This was the last variant of the Lee Enfield No.1 Mk.III* to enter service and the last bolt action rifle to be used by a regular service. In 2020, the Uttar Pradesh police retired from regular service the last Ishapore 2A1s still in service in India. They were sent back to the Ishapore factory to be refurbished into riot control weapons.

Bob Womack Thank you kindly! 11-30-2022
Jim Tarleton I like that rifle. It reminds me of the days when I used to buy rifles, and pistols, from ads in magazines for $14.95. You were lucky to find such a magnificent example. 11-30-2022
