Anyone who watched the auction will know...the bidding went to $17,750 (I think) and the rifle did not sell. (big reserve on it presumably)
Only 2 bidders were up at those lofty heights.
Bruce: I really wish AIA had made the Lightened Rifle model...would have been on one of them pretty quickly.

Something along these lines, from Ebay UK. (although it's from the US)

Pitman Arm Puller For Cars ...
Hi Mike. Sadly this was a specially made puller custom made for the Ross.
I ended up buying the same setup from another gent, and it has moved on to a gent who was making replacement stocks. (he...
I personally know the gent selling this one. A very nice rig.
I've seen a number of Enfields with ZF painted on the side of the buttstock. I've wondered, why would the armourers not have stamped this right into the receiver? (like you see DP on quite a few...
I too had one of these rifles. Mine was in grey park just like an FNC1. And it had a Mk II flip sight vs the Cmk3 in the first post.
Receiver is cut exactly the same as an EAL. (compared them side...
Funny you mention that Bruce. I recall seeing a writeup on AIA and they were considering producing a version of the LB Lightweight Rifle. Not sure if it ever went any further or not? At any rate...
I was able to pick this book up recently! The sniper rifles mentioned in the book I believe were all C67 rifles.
I was also peripherally involved in uniting a loose C67 scope with a rifle that...
I agree with Surpmil. I own both scope types and greatly prefer the T.O.S. over the earlier design.
The tripod is quite the little piece of engineering!
I had a hell of a time laying my hands...
Thank you very much for the pictures!
Sorry gents. I can delete all of my pics if people prefer. Not meaning to hog bandwidth or jam up computers.
All of my pics were resized to about 100KB average size vs the immense files modern...
Lovely piece! Would love to look at that sight and the rifle.
The cheekpiece looks similar to several pictured in Without Warning. I looked in vain for a Canadian proof on the bottom of it.
Very nicely fitted up with a nice gap under it....not the work of a...
The one I just bought had 2 interesting features that attracted me. Aside from the really nice scope and upper mount, the lower bracket has the Canadian proof mark which is so rarely seen. (as has...
Here is the 1955 LB TP put together I just sold. The only reason I parted with it is because I bought another one.
...
Interesting...wonder what it'll end up going for?
Good enough for the girls I go out with...
I shot it on a 100 yard range only.
Would have been better but I was having magazine problems, the last round doesn't pick up reliably.
I got some incredible grunge out of the bore. I had...
The chest certainly looks kosher to me. It doesn't look like something somebody made up.
BTW, Wheaty did some fixes on the scope for me on this rifle, and today I took it to the range and sighted...
Note though that the gent with the coke bottle glasses is also wearing one of the white smocks. Would this not indicate he was doing the same things the rest of them were?
edit: later on read that...
I have the sad duty to inform the forum that this rifle previously belonged to Milsurps.com member Arado. He passed away suddenly and his firearms are being liquidated on Gunbroker.
Warren agrees with you Peter.
The confusing thing is, it looks to me like it has a turret on the right side...and you can't flip a No 32 scope over as it has that alignment screw that engages the...
Holy crap!!! I guess that's conclusive evidence that these rifles were used in WWII. First I've heard of it.
